Headed to the beach for the weekend? We want you to have the best vacation experience ever and we know things can get a little hectic when on vacation with the whole family, not to mention a little pricey too. There are so many things to do in Ocean City, its hard to pick a weeks worth but don’t miss out on the activities that are free and fun!! Every Sunday throughout the summer there is a fantastic laser light show on the beach located on North Division Street. Bring the family, some blankets and head to the beach for this awesome display of color. Also, don’t miss out on a fireworks display every Monday and Tuesday starting July 11th. They are shot off from around North Division Street, but are surely visible up and down the boardwalk and beach. These are events the whole family will love!
Join other families on the beach for a round of Family Beach Olympics. Starting June 21st, every Tuesday 6:30-8:30pm, get the chance to compete in sand castle contests, tug-of-war, relay races and more. Last but surely not the least, take advantage of one of the best events in Ocean City, the OC Air Show! On June18-19, 2016 Military jets will soar over the beach, boardwalk, and ocean for a spectacular show.
Life Saving Station Museum
Stop by the Life Saving Station Museum located on the boardwalk at the inlet. This antique building is filled with history, specials events, and more. Starting on July 5th, join the Museum staff for their free summer programs. On Mondays, go back to a time when Ocean City was a quiet fishing village and see what is was like before condominiums. Tuesdays are for beach safety and on Wednesdays learn how to become an expert on tying nautical knots. Learn all about sharks and what sets them apart from other fish on Thursdays. Fridays you can have a chance to meet and greet with Assateague Island critters. Then finally on Saturdays, join in on the aquarium feeding! These programs continue every week until August 27th.
