Only 6 days until the best patriotic day ever! Are you getting ready for your long weekend at the beach? Fourth of July is coming up and we know everyone has big plans. This is such a fun weekend to celebrate here at the shore there is so much to do but there are a few activities that could make the weekend even better. Friday, Saturday and Sunday night (6pm-9pm) enjoy a mile long Horse & Carriage ride at sunset. Pick up is at De Lazy Lizard (1st Street) for $10 a person and by reservations only. Catch one of Ocean City’s famous sunsets on a magical and peaceful ride down the island. Wake up early to check out the Ocean Pines Farmers Market on Saturday, July 2nd. Walk around White Horse Park to purchase your favorite fresh produce, eggs, seafood, organics, natural pet treats, crafts & more! It’s totally worth it.
It’s Time to Celebrate
Soon the crowds will roll in and the town will fill up which means traffic and delays but don’t let that bother you! In fact, there are celebrations happening all over town! On saturday July 2nd, enjoy the Bethany Beach Independence Day Parade filled with floats, bikes, and dance to the beat of the marching bands. Drive over to Assatague for 9am on Saturday for their Independence Day Program, meet in the Nature Center to have a morning full of special events and activities. You can check out the Assateague Island weekly schedule for more details. Then finally, the day we are all waiting for, a day that is going to make Monday great- July 4th. Wake up early eat a good breakfast, go for a morning bike ride or swim and let your day begin. Starting at 8pm, on North Division St. The Reagan Years will give a free 80s performance and followed by a spectacular firwork display at 9:30pm. The fireworks can be seen anywhere from the inlet all the way to 27th street. Watch from the beach, boardwalk, inlet pier, on the bay, or even on your own back deck. Up at Northside Park (125th St.) there will be a free concert featuring The Janitors which will start around 8pm followed by fireworks at 9:30pm. We hope you have a joyful and splendid weekend!
