We recommend prior to November because the lead up to Thanksgiving, the day itself and then December holidays are peak times to get together with family and friends. Instead of the dozens of back and forth emails that it takes to plan a group trip when everyone disperses, many families and friend groups will choose and book properties when they’re together during the holidays. So be sure that your listing is up and that you have your rates and calendar finalized before these planning conversations take place in November and December. The numbers don’t lie

In recent years, those who relisted their property prior to October 31 earned an average of 9.6 more nights than those who relisted prior to December 31, and 16.22 more nights than those who waited until after January 1. This included not just summer bookings, but a noticeable increase in offseason bookings too. For those who relisted prior to October 31, they had an average of 31.2% more off-season bookings than those who relisted before December 31, and 35% more than those who waited until after January 1.

That’s a whole lot of worms for those who list early!

Tip: Keep in mind that the haunted house is part of Trimper’s Rides, and you’ll need eight tickets or a wristband to enjoy it. Trust us — it’s worth every ticket!

The ride was expanded in 1988 and has undergone updates since it was originally built in 1964, but 20 of Bill Tracy’s original “stunts” still remain.
