Flowers blooming, birds singing, bands rocking, sneakers pounding—that’s how we usher in springtime in Ocean City, Maryland. To celebrate the warmer temps and longer days, Ocean City hosts special events for revelers and runners of all ages. Here’s a look at what’s happening this spring—and why you should plan on making the trip.
Ocean City Springfest 2019
It’s a springtime tradition like no other—a four-day festival in the Ocean City Inlet Lot, free and fun for all. Springfest 2019, held May 2–5, features music, over 30 food vendors, unique arts and crafts and family-friendly activities under four huge big top tents.
You’ll find two stages featuring a continuous variety of musical performances throughout the day. And Springfest has an evening entertainment lineup that will rock you. It all starts with Almost Queen on Thursday—giving fans the next best thing to the full Freddie Mercury experience. On Friday, Grammy award-winning artist LeAnn Rimes brings a career full of hits to the stage. Saturday is a journey back in time with Night Ranger and their special guests, The Reagan Years. Tickets for each performance are available at the Ocean City Convention Center Box Office or online at Ticketmaster. Getting around for Springfest 2019 couldn’t be easier. The Springfest Express offers visitors direct service to the Inlet Lot from the Roland E. Powell Convention Center. This non-stop express ride costs only $3 with all-day boarding, and parking is free at the south lot of the Convention Center. You can also ride the Boardwalk tram to the Springfest grounds for only $3 per person one-way. Want to learn more about Springfest 2019?
